“Crop X has allowed us to allocate water on a basis of need per field rather than on a date schedule so we can prioritize the water to the fields that require it the most. The app allows us to set a full soil moisture point and a recharge point. We can adjust those through the season if necessary. It also allows us to track moisture over time. The app allows us to send automatic alerts when a field gets to a certain moisture level. The app will send the irrigators a text to tell them that soil moisture is getting low. That’s been quite handy particularly on weekends when we’ve got a few less staff.”
